All over Chelsea, almost life-sized floral animals stood proudly in the heat … and wilting a little during an amazing run of very warm weather. We saw … Elephants
Rhinos
Baby cubs
Lions and lioness
Oh my!
This one looks like it’s up to no good!
Giraffes …
They seem popular.
Apes!!!
And a monkey eating bananas!
A pink …
Hippo
Colourful birds of the jungle
And even crocodiles!Yes, it’s Chelsea in Bloom again – in conjunction with the week of the Chelsea Flower Show!
And a what?!?!?!?!A Monster?!?!?!
May’s comment: This year’s Chelsea in Bloom (22-27 May) is working in association with the Elephant Family, an international NGO dedicated to protecting the Asian elephant from extinction. “They fund pioneering projects across Asia to reconnect forest fragments, re-establish elephant migratory routes and help create safe homes for both elephants and people.”
Thus all the animals in the streets. But not everyone followed the theme … more later.
What fantastic and beautiful sights – some beauty in what has been a sad and dark week. S x
Thank you
Wow, how beautiful and amazing! Beauty to balance out the ugliness of tragedy.
Thank you so much for the beautiful
display of flowers and fanciful animals!
Just love them all especially the giraffe!
Vicarious experiences ala Darcy, George and May are the best pick me up!
With love
