After our train journey from Waterloo to Weymouth, we drove through the scenic Dorset countryside before arriving at our hotel – The Seaside Boarding House in Burton Bradstock.Situated above the cliffs, overlooking the sweep of Chesil Beach it has a little walkway down to the beach …
and we’re on the world heritage site of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
We were warned to be careful. So Mummy who is always nervous about these warnings asked me to stay clear …as I galloped my way towards the cliffs. LOL!
“Come back!!!! DAR-CEEEEE!!!! Come back!!!!” she shouted.
“I want to take a selfie with you,” she said.“Let’s go the other way, Darce, it looks safer.”“Why don’t you go up to the little patch up there so I can take a photo of you?”And so I obliged.
I think these are the cliffs that actually fell!!!
After walking on “grumbling pebbles” we took a breather and sat up high to look at the pounding waves. And then a walk up the cliff side
To our hotel The sun was out but the coastal winds blew cold. Yet Mummy couldn’t resist sitting outside. And here’s our reward! May’s comment: A little treat for all that walking! We’re neither in Devon nor Cornwall so we had one scone with cream on top and another with cream on the bottom.Ahhh, the trivials of life.
