When Darcy met Sally

It was lunch with Mummy at Clarke’s in Notting Hill. She’s really pleased as this is one of her favourite places to go to many years ago. It is a bit of a local institution and she recently found out they are dog friendly.

And we met Sally Clarke herself! Sorry! We’re suppose to be on the floor but Mummy thought this would make a nice photo. And we’re having duck? Nice. Much better than fish.

May’s comment:  An amazing addition to our ever-growing Wine & Dine list of dog-friendly places in London. Clarke’s Restaurant is white table-cloth, fine dining. It’s menu is farm-to-table restaurant focused on seasonal British ingredients and breads from Sally Clarke’s own bakery. Well-behaved dogs (goes without saying) are welcomed at the tables on the side where the bar is but still white-table cloth service. Please call in advance to let them know when bringing dogs so they can reserve appropriate table.  Have asked about dinner and they said yes, unless it is full.

Located at 124 Kensington Church St, Kensington, London W8 4BH

Across the street is the Sally Clarke shopfull of lovely things to serve their restaurant customers who have constantly asked to buy their breads, chocolate truffles, savoury tarts and cakes.  I can imagine why,
But dogs have to be outside! It’s a small shop and the dogs are right by the door. And when it is not busy, some of the staff would come and fuss over them anyway!

It was great to meet both you and Mrs. Darcy May as you were on your way to Clarkes. We did not know that Clarkes accepted dogs so will definately be going with Bob next time as the food is delicious and we live so very close by!
