A very ostentatious dog bowl

We arrived for lunch at Chiltern Firehouse.  They must have been expecting us because as soon as we sat down, they brought us some water in this rather unusually ornate bowl.IMG_1893Mummy, am I allowed to drink from this bowl?
IMG_1894Hmmm – yes, it’s just regular water, George. You can have some too.
IMG_1864Mummy had found out that doggies are allowed in the courtyard seating at this rather trendy restaurant.  But as you have heard by now, the weather is totally unreliable.  We had to wait for it not to rain.
IMG_1869So when the weather forecast promised sun, Bruno and his mummy joined us for lunch too. IMG_1861Bruno’s mummy had some cauliflowerIMG_1866While Mummy ordered a lobster crab omelette – and this is what she got … IMG_1876It’s ok Mummy I won’t have any. It doesn’t look like there’s enough for you.

I’ll just sit quietly on the bench, IMG_1889like Bruno while you have your lunchIMG_1888When dessert came, it was equally interestingIMG_1892But we managed to get through lunch without it raining on us!

May’s comment: Had to time the reservation to the weather forecast before we could lunch with the dogs at Chiltern Firehouse!  So we lucked out yesterday.IMG_1906Chiltern Firehouse at 1 Chiltern St, Marleybone, London W1U 7PA is Andre Balazs’ luxury hotel and restaurant in London.
