Assunta Madre – Italian fish dishes are the focus of this cream-and-wood dining room modelled on the Roman original. Quite a formal restaurant – must let them know if you’re bringing a dog – preferably not large and must be quiet! 9-10 Blenheim Street, Mayfair, London.
Bibendum Oyster Bar – Elegant, airy French seafood bistro with art deco tiled mosaics, for oysters, seafood and champagne. Many memories of this place – very convenient for after shopping at Conran’s. Michelin House, 81 Fulham Rd, London SW3 6RD
Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House Borough Market – The original of the Wright Brothers restaurants in Borough Market. A seafood restaurant with a small dining room made up of a long oyster bar and high tables. There’s outside seating and we are also allowed inside the front part of the room. And we sat at the bar which was perfect – too high for Darcy to have a peek at what was ordered. 11 Stoney St, London SE1 9AD
Wright Brothers South Kensington – There are about four of them scattered throughout Central London and this one is closest to us. Right by South Kensington tube station, it is an intimate dining room that feels like the bistros of Paris. It is best described as an oyster bar and seafood nook. Again we are allowed inside and we have only sat at the tables in the front. 56 Old Brompton Rd, Kensington, London SW7 3DY
The other two Wright Brothers in Central London are in Soho (courtyard seating for dogs) and Spitalfields. There’s also a restaurant in Cornwall.Seafood restaurants
