Wowwee! Is what I’ve got to say!
We found this amazing dog house when we were at St. Pancras International. Our friend Freddie had alerted us to the BowWow Haus project, so we went along to see some of the kennels on display there. And they were amazing! I was completely enthralled by the range of designs.I couldn’t decide which I liked the best as I kept wandering amongst them.
Really, so many to choose from …
This one by Denizen Works might have driven Jaffa crazy. She would want to get every ball out of the box! LOL!These are more my size. And look – Mosaic Happy by Denise JacquesAnd this! This reminded me of The Game of Thrones – can;t be very comfortable in there. And others were just a box!Now let’s see what else … You like that one over there, Mummy? You want me to try it for size?Okay! Your wish is my command …Yeah, this fits. It figures, it’s by Zaha Hadid Architects.
Which one should we bid for, Mummy?
Part of the proceeds from BowWow Haus London are supporting the Blue Cross Hertfordshire Rehoming Centre Appeal and the Outdoor Arts Foundation.
But, we’ll have to move house to accommodate any of these that we’re going to bid for.
May’s comment: Brilliant! Loved seeing the many designs that were on exhibit at St Pancras International. I love architecture and I love dogs – so this for me was a winning combination. And it was interesting to see Darcy equally interested. I had let her off lead and she immediately went amongst all of kennels that were grouped together but cordoned off – to humans. But Darcy went amongst them and snooped.
She picked her favourite and I picked mine!
BowWow Haus London is a collaboration between pet charity Blue Cross, American not-for-profit organisation Outdoor Arts Foundation and photographer Drew Gardner. A network of architects, artists and designers have created bespoke kennels to be displayed throughout London from March 2018, culminating in a charity auction of the kennels.
This stylish and original collection will be exhibited in two of London’s premier stations – St Pancras International and Stratford International – and auctioned at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London on April 26 to support the vital work of pet charity Blue Cross and American not-for-profit organisation Outdoor Arts Foundation.
