Not only were the hoomans out enjoying the celebrations – we doggies were out in force too.
We stayed at very dog friendly Macdonald Windsor Hotel right in the heart of Windsor High Street – There were a few of us – but it was NBC Central and we learnt later, it was the “HQ” for the Suits team!
On the day of the Royal Wedding, there were no cars in the town centre, so we walked happily along with everyone else to where we could play
We even had a chance to run around the green on the side of the Long Walk.
But other dogs there had other ideas of fun – like chasing me around. This one kept coming after me. And then along came a German Shepherd and I told him off in no uncertain terms. It wasn’t looked upon favourably and the police said I could be taken away for disorderly conduct and causing disturbance of peace. See the police officers coming after me?!?!?! I was a little concerned if he wasn’t joking.
But when we all lined up to take a photo in front of Windsor Castle – and they saw how well-behaved I can be, all was forgiven. Blame it on the GS for causing me anxiety!
Mummy was hoping we could get a table at Two Brewers where Big Hoomans and Dogs are allowed! But alas, it was completely packed! Even dogs couldn’t get in!But once on the High Street, and especially on the day of the wedding, this was how I ended up –And got lots of pets and comment about my fringe! LOL!
Everyone really was in such a festive mood – that the lovely lady from Ferrante Ices gave us doggies free ice-cream!
I guess I didn’t make that bad an impression – Barnaby and I ended up on the Thames Valley Police Facebook post – 🙂
And even though George didn’t come with us while his namesake aka Clooney was there ;), he and Jaffa got a mention in Wall Street Journal’s article about Royal Wedding Memorabilia (you can only see this if you are a WSJ subscriber)(Note: those were not Mummy’s exact words. She said – “We’re celebrating because there’s only one Prince Harry!”)
May’s comment: Now that the Royal Wedding is all over – what’s next?
