Going home

All good things must come to an end …After our beach meet-up it was time to get ready for our journey home to the Big City – but not before a spot of lunch at the very dog friendly The Coast Bar in Cowes. It was jam-packed and thankfully we had booked it. They gave us a banquette in a corner where we could sit under the table.
But George decided he was too small to sit under the table with all the big doggies – so he came up on the banquette. And look! He had learnt my trick – check out the treats in the hooman bags! LOL!Thank you Emma for the suggestion. Good food and really nice place – and oh so dog friendly!

After lunch, we walked around Cowes and found a shop for pets and kids! It should have said – fur-kids! LOL!Very interesting these things – trotters, snouts, pigs ears! Whoa! The hoomans really wanted ice-cream – and thought we were having some …But all too soon, it was time to head to the ferry.  Yup! That’s our Red Funnel Ferry just pulling in!Arrived at the Quay – and one last photoJust before we got into the car, we spotted two apricot cockapoos.  Hello! Who are you?Hi Lulu and Digby! And guess what?!?!!We’re from the same breeder in Wales!!! What a coincidence. Funny thing, I was also called Lulu when I was born. Well, it was nice to meet you both!Back on the dog-friendly Red Funnel ferries where they even had treats for us.We all sat together – all a bit knackered, and talked about our trip to the Isle of Wight.  What an amazing two days we’ve had.

First, meeting Oscar who decided to join us at the last minute And meeting Instagram friends and new friends on a beautiful beach at Yaverland. It was sad to say goodbye. I hope we will meet again.

In an hour we were back in Southampton, and as Barnaby, Freddie, George and I got into one car to go back to London, Oscar and Nathalie were off to Bristol!Come play with us again, Oscar!  It’s been so much fun meeting you.  We’ll work on the “sit and stay” command – for our hoomans who love taking photos of us!  LOL!

May’s comment: What a fun trip it had been! Meeting up with dog crazy, especially cockapoo crazy owners was the best fun. We can do our cockapoo crazy stuff and everyone’s game – no one thinks we’re crazy. That’s what made it all such a special trip – knowing that wherever we are – we’ve met like-minded people – our dogs mean the world to us and we’re crazy about them.
