When one juvenile decided to do something so hateful, the result was loss of animal lives and immense sadness to see what that humankind is capable of.
We could only imagine the fear and the panic that the dogs felt. They were simply helpless.
It was one too many that went to Rainbow Bridge.
What makes me so sad is that these dogs already were abandoned and looking for forever homes. And then they died so tragically and senselessly. May they rest in peace.
The ones who survived were traumatised from smoke inhalation, from stress. Some had to be sedated.
It seems that great tragedies bring out the best in humans. And today we saw an outpouring of generosity.
From one act of hate, 100,000+ hearts were moved to help make things better.
May’s comment: We domesticated dogs and it is our responsibility to take care of them. This is encouraging to know so many people cared. Over £1M in donations – how amazing! JUST GIVING – Manchester Dogs Home
And a local builder had offered to rebuild the home!
