Motion Sickness

IMG_1510

Mummy takes me travelling as often as she can. I have been on planes, on ships, in subways, buses, trains, taxis/cars.  I am very happy sitting on her lap in all instances.

I have never been sick before in any travel circumstances but when I am sitting in the passenger seat of a moving car, Mummy noticed that I am a little stressed.
IMG_1507This is me without my harness on – when the car is still!  But I know what is about to happen.

It’s the unsteady movement and even with a harness on, it doesn’t make me feel any better.  At first Mummy thought it’s just that I wanted to sit on her lap while she’s driving – which I do, of course, but really I wanted to feel secure.

But when we found this website www.Zoetis.co.uk Mummy then realised it’s the motion that’s stressing me out.

splat-2My symptom is restlessness. I can’t lay down and I can’t relax. I am often standing even though Mummy keeps telling me to lie down and I can’t. And I don’t like sitting in the back – I want to be right next to Mummy.

May’s comment: Thank goodness she has never had motion sickness.  She’s a really good traveller. But must try to break the habit and make her sit in the back – strapped in. Even in her harness when she’s sitting in the passenger seat – she wouldn’t sit down for more than a few seconds. She does look stressed and I know she would love to sit on my lap but that’s a definitely no-no!
