Telling tales

IMG_8053

On the first day of the year, Mummy had always taken us to a beach where we took our first morning walk of the year.

At the beginning, before George, it was just Mummy and I. I would run gleefully – excited at being able to run carefree on the beach. Mummy would pause and look out at the horizon – a new year, new opportunities and Mummy said the water was symbolic of cleansing for the new year.

This year, we still took our first walk of the new year along water.Just that we were looking at a horizon dotted with landscapes, islands … the beginning of the fjords.

We sat and wondered what the year ahead held for us in 2018.

2017 had been an interesting year and the best thing we’ve done in our estimation was finding Churchill/Winston a new home.  We told his story on our blog and hoomans wanted to meet him – and I am glad we did.  We like to tell stories and ever so grateful to you for reading them.

And I hope we will continue to be able to write them and share them with you this coming year, that you will journey through 2018 with us.

Happy First Day of 2018!

May’s comment:  Our lives are filled with stories.  The world is made up of stories – long stories, short stories, complicated ones and straightforward ones. Happy ones and ones that made us cry.

Sometimes we create our own stories, and get really lost in them, not knowing how to get out.

Others think their stories are not worth listening to – and never tell them.  And there are those who share so openly.

We have a story to tell, in fact, we hope to continue to share lots of stories throughout the new year. I hope you will enjoy our little pleasures, our adventures, the sadness of our hearts and the joys of friendships, the love we give and the love we get back in plentifold.

Let our story telling begin!
