Not just another birthday …

So there were a couple of Zoom calls today …

These are some of our doodle humans – they are a really good bunch of people but really should keep their day job – even though they are not working very much these days. LOL!

Mum had a different kind birthday – one she will not forget for a long time. When she’s reminiscing about where she had been – this one will be easy. New decade – no travels, just celebrating virtually with friends. Its all about staying home and staying safe.

May’s comment: The year when I was sent LOTS of cupcakes, a whole pistachio ice-cream cake, box of cookies – and a whole box of vegetables!!!! But no one to share them with – so looks like I have to eat them all myself. LOL!

Darcy and I were scheduled to be in Mallorca and Ibiza for this year’s birthday celebrations. It would have been nice to have spent it with the same friends who shared my birthday last year. But circumstances dictated, rather a virus did – and here we are in London, with my dogs and having virtual parties on Zoom.

It was another day, another year, life goes on and PPE needs to be completed and delivered. So at the production centre today, we managed to complete 570 gowns delivered to the Royal Brompton Hospital!

We did really well today. Yesterday 18 boxes were delivered but 7 of them were from Sunday. So a massive increase. But embarrassingly the whole afternoon was interrupted by phone calls of friends singing loudly on the phone. So much so the other volunteers all knew it was my birthday.

And a Happy 94th Birthday to Her Majesty! She too had a lockdown birthday!
