A Package for Me?

Package

I got a package in the mail today! It was addressed to me!

I needed some help to open it – maybe not but Mummy didn’t feel like cleaning up after I’m done with the box! 😉

Hey look what’s inside! It’s low fat carrot, banana & apple sauce biscuits from Louis Kitchen Treats!  Oh yummy!

IMG_1453May’s comments: We heard about Louis Kitchen Treats on Facebook and inquired about it. There has been so much recent discussions about dog food but no one has quite touched on treats. I can only imagine what goes into those. All those dried meats look so processed and plastic! So when Louis Kitchen Treats told us about their philosophy towards treats I was only too keen to try them on Darcy.

Louise Kitchen Treats are homemade oven-baked dog treats entirely made of fruits and vegetables with no meat.  Most of the treats available in the market contain meat but hardly any are vegetarian. They tend to be rich in fat (e.g. Pedigree Markies 10% fat/100g) , and according to some research, some dog processed food contain meat that have gone off and some contains by-products like ears, testicles by-products such as hooves, tails, testicles and ears! Oh my word!

So I guess we are going the vegetarian route here which is not a bad balance when Darcy’s feeding on Honeys raw meat.

Anyway, check out their link – Home – Louis Kitchen Treats

“Louis Kitchen Treats” are healthy, low in fat and rich in fiber with no added sugar, salt or additives and truly natural. The recipes have been designed and approved by vets and dog nutritionists and a constituent’s analysis has been conducted to ensure they are safe and comply with animal feed regulations.

The “Louis Kitchen Treats” range includes: · Blueberries and Banana biscottis · Heart healthy spinach cookies · Heart healthy peas cookies · Heart healthy carrot cookies · Veggie cookies · Low fat carrot, banana and apple sauce biscuits · Mint kiss cookies

  1. Do you like them Darcy? How exciting to get your own parcel, though I think Mummy was a bit of a spoil sport not letting you open it yourself! We make quite a lot of treats ourselves ( I loiter with intent, while Jill makes them!) Must remind her to make some more.
