A Run with Lottie at Chatsworth House

P1020494

Mummy knew of a cockapoo who lives in Derbyshire so she had made contact for us to meet up whilst we were there. It’s Lottie and her mummy Suzy. But I didn’t know about it, so when Lottie turned up at the front hall of The Peacock, I was being territorial! I barked at her and wasn’t very welcoming. Mummy had to calm me down.

Eventually we got into the car and we drove to Chatsworth House for a walk.1024px-Chatsworth_showing_hunting_tower

We were not supposed to be off lead but since the fields were so wide and not so many people around, well, we were let lose!IMG_3564Lottie and I ran and ran and ran – IMG_3563 IMG_3561 IMG_3590… me barking at her and after her.IMG_3560

I was told I am very boisterous but I can’t help it. Sometimes I am annoyed, sometimes it’s because I am saying – let’s play, come on, run!IMG_3565 Saying – no, this way, Lottie!IMG_3566 Or sometimes I am saying – hey! You’re too fast – come back!!!! IMG_3569

We sniffed around …IMG_3571And did a bit of rolling on the grass – IMG_3574Of course it was then Mummy’s turn to holler! Oh, Lottie, what did you get on your ear?IMG_3587

We were sufficiently knackered as we took a rest –IMG_3582And by then I got used to having Lottie around.IMG_3592After our exhausting run, we went to The Stables for some refreshments – IMG_3596There we ran into two other cockapoos – Alfie and Ollie. IMG_3601And then lo and behold, there was Harvey, a cavapoo!IMG_3603But it was soon time for us to get back on the train to London. Suzy and Lottie drove us to Chesterfield station where we said goodbye. Little Lottie’s pretty face looking at us quizzingly from behind.IMG_3604I don’t know how Lottie felt but I was knackered! I hardly moved from the time we sat down to wait for our train and on the whole train hide back to London.IMG_3609May’s comment:  We “met” Suzy and Lottie on one of our Facebook pages. When we knew we were going up north, we got in touch. So lovely to have met them. Lottie (10 months) and Darcy (3 1/2 years) look amazingly similar – pretty little faces.P1020495
