Today is Winter Solstice. The shortest day or the longest night.
This is the sky at about 8am on one side – as the sun is rising behind the buildings and trees …
And the moon is still in the sky on the other side, the buildings are lit by the rising sun.
I went for a run on the lawn in front of the Royal Crescent …
Mummy likes her new approach to photographing me run because she doesn’t know how to focus on me and let the background blur – she has accepted that my movement is actually quite interesting.
After a run, we went back to get Little Tyke & Co. Unfortunately, I got left behind in the room while they went for breakfast. Then we went for a walk around the nearby gardens. I ran some more and Little Tyke kept running after me – he didn’t realise that I have four legs and I run like the wind – so poor Little Tyke had a bit of a workout. Eventually Mummy got a hold of me (the recall wasn’t working this morning!) and we walked on and saw some pretty sights.
Mummy loves trees (besides Christmas Trees) … she’s often taken by them more than monuments.
By the time we finished our walk, the sun was already starting to set …
Than it was time to get back to the hotel to check out.
Mummy wanted to share a dining experience with me since I could not go to any of the eating places in the hotel. We walked to Marlborough Tavern but alas they were fully booked – of course! It’s the Friday before Christmas! So back to the hotel we went and we ended up eating in the drawing room – which was all very nice.
Lovely Christmas tree … there’s one in every room.

And all too soon it was time to leave –
packing strollers, bags and me in taxi- we went to the train station and with some difficulty, we all managed to get onboard a crowded train.
The train was full – yes, it’s the Friday before Christmas! It was already dark by the time we got home. It was a full but short day.

Sounded like you all had a lovely time in Bath. And I have to say, Mini Tyke has the most marvellous cheeks!!! Gorgeous.
The green in front of the hotel looks great: a wonderful running place. Molly would love it.
