Today we repeated some of last week’s lesson – ON IT! meant back legs on the yellow section of the board and front paws on the ground. This is so we don’t go leaping off the board but to make contact all the way to the end. When we do that right, we get lots and lots of “good girl” and treats!
This time we did a combination run – through the TUNNEL, OVER not just one hurdle but three consecutive ones.

And then we learnt to do WEAVE through poles. We all got it quite quickly

My most important lesson today was learning that not all German Shepherds are nasty beasts. Gina is 8 months old and she’s quite nervous in new situations. She’s a rescue dog and apparently spent her first six months in a cage. That’s why she’s unsure of new places. I didn’t like her at first and barked at her. I think I bothered her a little but soon we settled down for treats. I am not sure I will never be frightened of German Shepherds again but I know now that Gina would not attack me like that security dog.
