We had not one but TWO little pups come to visit today. I was very perturbed and barked at them, by unlike the other big dogs, these little ones were being carried – so I couldn’t get to them!
They weren’t very playful and were quite quiet so I calmed down quickly and sort of eyed them from a distance.
This is Vincenzo/Vincent/Vinny who is a Bedlington Terrier and only 8 weeks old.
And this is Karma, a long-haired chihuahua.
Soon I got the hang of it and this is little Vinny giving me kisses.
And Mummy’s besotted – can you tell?
She held Vinny throughout lunch

Until her food arrived did she put him down. And he sat in his chair …
And fell asleep with his back legs dangling!
And then Karma was up to her tricks – on her back for a tummy rub
And then upright again
And she sits quietly at the restaurant. Seems like I am the only one begging for food. Is it just a cockapoo thing when it comes to food?
Anyway, they were harmless and I quite like them in the end.
May’s comment: On the contrary to what I thought, Miss Darcy proved to be a lot better with puppies than I anticipated. Though she jumped up at me when I first held Vinny, she soon settled and when Vinny went to give her a kiss, she was really chilled. Uh-oh! Now I just need a larger pad with garden!
