Table for two? At Ape and Bird

After all the Chinese New Year crowds, we escaped to a lovely place on Shaftesbury Avenue – called the Ape and Bird Public House.

We did not have a reservation and walked right in – guess everyone outside was going somewhere Chinese but we couldn’t find anything in Chinatown that would take me – does anyone know of any?

But we found Ape and Bird on doggity.co.uk. So we walked right in without a reservation – to the delighted exclamation of everyone! 🙂 No questions asked except to Mummy – table for two? Yes!

I was quite knackered after the run around in Hyde PArk and then the mental stimulation of all that was going on outside. But as soon as the food came – I was up and alive! More bread please! I like dessert too – sticky toffee pudding – no? May’s comment: Nice gastro pub at the end of Chinatown and on Shaftesbury Avenue – had a really nice juicy burger. The staff were all so amazingly nice and paid Darcy a lot of attention. Found it on doggity.co.uk
