Away in the country

IMG_2963

George was nowhere to be seen at our Hyde Park Cockapoo meet.  That’s because he was invited to the country by Sarah, our neighbour who is also my godmother, Sarah. Ahem! – albeit being one of eight godparents!

Sarah used to “borrow” me for the weekends when she visited with her family.  I was once a delight for them. Now I have been substituted by Georgie. 🙁photo-5I was told not to take it personally as it’s all down to size.  George is the perfect “small” for Bea – perfect cuddling size that is. She had met him twice before and fell in love with him. photo 1-6Sarah thought it would be a treat for Bea to have George – just for the weekend.  So Mummy agreed.

Mummy packed him a little bag with his food and gobble bowl.  He sat waiting for Sarah to come and pick him up on her way down the stairs. IMG_2964I think he looked a little sad to be leaving us.IMG_2962But I am sure he had a good time.photo 4-5I do miss him when he’s away.  But then I get Mummy all to myself – or so I thought …

Instead Mummy got another dog to substitute him! Meet Charlie! IMG_3131Don’t worry George, it was only for the afternoon.

May’s comment: I always think Darcy gets a little down when George is not around and we’re at home. But when he returns, she gets a little annoyed and does not necessarily give him a warm welcome but a rough one.

But they soon settle down. Last evening, after a short while, she went to lay down next to George.  It has always been George who wanted to be next to Darcy. He did seem a little annoyed about being away from us.

Or am I projecting all this? LOL!
