This is Vincenzo/Vincent/Vinny – a teeny weeny little Bedlington Terrier who went to St. Mary’s church to find some ancestor of his on a stained glass window at St. Mary’s Church!
We couldn’t go in but we found the back of the stained glass window – 
“Now,” Mummy asked, “how did that happen? And why Bedlington Terrier in a church stained glass window?”
May’s comment:
John Ronald Craigie Aitchison, a Scottish painter, was best known for his many paintings of the Crucifixion. His style was simple with bright, childlike colours.
The project to install a stained glass panel designed by Craigie was initiated through his friend and champion, Edwina Sassoon, who is a parishioner at St Mary The Boltons. Sadly, Craigie died during the discussions and was left to stained glass artist, Neil Phillips to create it.
The subject is the Crucifixion, a frequent theme of Craigie’s work and along it are other familiar motifs – the Italian Cypress tree and his beloved Bedlington Terrier. The finished piece is called Crucifixion 2008: A Memorial Window.
A fitting testament to Craigie’s huge achievements as an artist.
