We were visiting our friend Vivi in Richmond last June when we came across the filming of Ted Lasso at Richmond Green.
We didn’t see Ted Lasso himself but there was a flurry of activities and chuffed to find The Prince’s Head pub which is The Crown and Anchor Pub in the TV series. This is his ‘local’. And the red phone boxes where they have filmed many scenes.

Vivi also took us to Paved Court, the narrow street where Ted Lasso’s home is located.

Along the way we stopped at Gelateria Danieli in Brewer’s Lane for some gelato. Mum teased me …

In the end she did let me lick the cup.
And as one does, we sat by the riverside to watch wildlife and the boats passing by.

We had a lovely day discovering Richmond.

May’s comment: I believe in hope. I believe in BELIEVE. (Ted Lasso S1, E10)

We love Ted Lasso for being infectiously unsightly, tender, funny and charming. His unshakeable good mood and can-do attitude could have been irritating but he has endeared himself to so many. So good to have positivity on telly! Positivity that makes you cry. What’s better? Cowboys that make you cry?
Ted Lasso Season 3 will be back on telly on March 15!
Check out Vivi’s Instagram account @veevs for some amazing photography of Richmond! Makes us want to move out there.

I have been to Richmond and it is so calming and wonderful! I love Jason Sudeikis from Saturday Night Live fame. I bet he is great in Ted Lasso! You and George must have had a super time in Richmond.
Oh you must watch Ted Lasso.
