Two of our latest art collection … newly framed and ready to be hung.
But where and how?!?!?!
May’s comment: These are two on-the-spot 15 minute sketches by Sally Muir at The Dog Show in Brighton last month. They have been framed and I need to find space on our gallery wall.
I love this sketch of George more each time I look at it. I especially love the straggly little tail – it reminds me of the day I met him …
He had a haircut after they got him out of the Killing Station, but for some reason they seem to have forgotten to cut a long strand from his tail.
It always makes me laugh whenever I look at this photo of him and wondered if they did it on purpose. One of the first things I did when George arrived at my home – snip! I’m OCD and it bothered me. 🙂
But I also love how he has fluffed up and his hair never seems to stay in place – he’s always a bit scruffy. That’s what makes him such loveable thug. And his pose, that’s how I see him when he sits on my lap looking at the world. We already have a most beautiful oil portrait of George. This one captures the very essence of little George.
And then this one of Darcy – her soft brown eyes peering out from behind her lovely fringe cut. And her muzzle.
In just a few strokes, Sally captured the essence of them.
