When Mummy decided to take George to the vet last week to check on his being sick now and then as well as his weepy eyes, she also reported to the vet that I seem to have trouble pee-ing.
It so happened that as we were walking to the vet, I stopped three times for a wee and nothing happened. She thought it was odd and mentioned it to the vet. The vet looked immediately concerned and asked her to get my urine sample for tests.
She never thought she could manage it but she did. She left the sample with the vet on Friday – and waited all weekend for the results.
Thankfully the results showed all things were normal but I think she was freaking out – for a few minutes yesterday.  I know it’s because she loves me!  🙂
May’s comment: As we were out and about yesterday, we missed the call from the vet, then saw this message on my phone.
Heart pounding, thoughts racing, I called the vet.
When I got through, the receptionist asked me to hold as they passed my call to the vet. It felt like the longest 1 minute 53 seconds of my life. I kept looking at Darcy thinking of the worst scenarios. The mind went into the darkest corners of possibilities.
The vet’s first question was – “How is Darcy doing?”  That didn’t calm my concerns! I told him impatiently – she’s been fine!  All I wanted to hear was the test result. Eventually he said – there’s nothing abnormal with the test results.  Phew!
I have never felt so worried for another before.  I don’t think I’m a hypochondriac.  Every time when I felt something was not quite right and had taken Darcy to the vet it was validated – maybe except for once when she was stung by a wasp.
And this is winky George – after his eye drop application.
Caring is not a burden.  But worrying … crikey! It can turn our world upside down!

i feel your pain May,, Maggie was sick on Sunday And I had all sorts of scenarios going round in my head! I suffer from MS,,, good days, bad days, leg malfunction days, body malfunction days but I cope with it because I have to,,, but when Maggie is poorly,, oh my days! The worry, the stress!
We cant help it can we, its part of loving our dogs, just as worrying about people we love. I suppose its part of the bill for having important people and pets in our lives.
Glad everything is ok. We do worry about them but that is good, if only all dogs received as much love it would be wonderful.
