Celebrating Bonds

Last week while we were at a Goodwoof event in London we met the Duke of Richmond – and he was delighted to see me again.

He remembered us from last year’s Goodwoof Chien Charmant!

We were delighted to have been chosen as one of the Spirit of Goodwoof winners – we really think Darcy was watching over us and had a paw in the decision making. How do we know that?

After winning the prize, we had a photo of us standing in the middle of the GOODWOOF letters. When we saw the picture, it sent shivers down our spine when we realised we were standing between D and W – Darcy Wong!!!

She was there with us … and our amazing prizes from Hermes – well, we consider them as gifts from her. She definitely knew what we like.

May’s comment: If you are going to this year’s Goodwoof (20 & 21 May), you should consider participating in Chien Charmant – a celebration of the human and canine bond.

Goodwoof lives to promote the unique bond between human and hound. Chien Charmant is their take on the ‘best in show’ dog show staple. The judges look for style, swagger and that hard-to-pin-down charisma that exudes from some dogs and their owners and reward it with plaudits and prizes each of the two days at Goodwoof.

As unique as Goodwoof is itself, the judging panel looks for that certain something that sets a dog and its owner apart from the pack.

Each afternoon, beside the giant Goodwoof letters with the stunning Grade 1 listed building, The Kennels, as a backdrop, our pre-registered and hand-picked contestants, swing by the judges, answer questions and explain just what your dog means to you.

Entered into three event categories, Union, Spirit, and Swagger, the judges have the unenviable task of sourcing pairings which show the most wit, personality, bond, charm, charisma and style. The Spirit category winners must be bursting with wit and personality, those considered for the Union prizes share stories packed full of charm and the strength of bond between human and canine, and those in the Swagger group need to effortlessly exude the holy trinity of personality, poise and presence with style and charisma to the fore.

Registration is open now. Simply click here to sign you and your hound up if you think you’ve got what it takes to succeed. We can’t wait to see you at Goodwoof.
