This Christmas was a little bit more special because we celebrated with the Tykes and their parents at The Lygon Arms in The Cotswolds.
It was fun to see how excited Skye and Sasha were on Christmas Eve and enjoyed watching them rip open presents on Christmas morning.
Mum wore sequins, we all wore tartans, Christmas jumpers …
They wore silly hats
and pulled crackers (which I didn’t like)
They sure ate and drank a whole lot – mince pies, mulled wine, turkey, beef Wellington, Brussel sprouts, Christmas pudding. Mum said they were all yum yum yum!
After a very full Christmas lunch, we listened to the King’s Speech.
This Christmas also brought back memories of the time when we celebrated with Darcy in 2016.
We’re back to make memories with Lulu. Her first Christmas. 🎄

There were apparently 42 dogs with guests over the three days of Christmas. Dogs are welcomed everywhere except for The Grill.

Oliver Cromwell himself occupied a room here immediately before engaging the Royalists at the fateful Battle of Worcester on 3rd September 1651, when Charles II was put to flight and the War won for the Parliamentarians. A portrait of Cromwell hangs by the side of the great 17th Century fireplace in the appropriately named ‘Cromwell Room’.
In the 17th century, The Lygon Arms was originally established in the 16th century as a coaching inn. Broadway, where the hotel is located, was a popular stopping point for travelers and merchants during this period.
John Travis’ name is on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel’s history in 1620.
