In 2014, you were the new puppy in the neighbourhood. And because you were a little cockapoo, just like my big sister Darcy, our families met.
You were only a few months old then, and I had recently arrived from Hungary. I was already over a year old, so can you believe it, you were actually smaller than me!

Whenever Mum was busy with Darcy, I had you. We would play for hours and hours. You were one of my very first friends in my new life, and you became my first and only girlfriend.

You soon grew bigger than me, but you were always my Jaff-Jaff.
Then you moved to the countryside, and we didn’t see each other very often, except when you came back to the city. But whenever we did, you were still my girl.
On 30 August, you left us.
Jaffa, I know I’ll see you again one day.
Until then, thank you for being there at the beginning of my new life.
You were my first and only love. ❤️

Jaffa, Cockapoo: 31.05.2014 – 30.08.2026
For a few years when Jaffa lived down the road from us, she was often a part of our gang. There are so many photos of the three of them together – buried in the hundreds of thousands of photos on my phone.

She will always be remembered extra fondly. And a piece of our hearts left with her.
