We were out looking for Paddington Bears when we came across these other statues – not bears but two historic figures having a conversation – though one looking quite bearish. So we joined in. George, do you have an opinion on world politics?
This is a sculpture of Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt sitting ‘talking’ together on a bench on Old Bond Street.
This statue unveiled on 2 May 1995 is called ‘Allies’ to commemorate 50 years of peace.
Thank goodness it was a lovely day. We were tired from our search, so we decided to take a break at Aubaine – we could only sit outside.
