A Little Boost for Every Dog by James & Ella

We all want our dogs to live long, happy and healthy lives. And as they get older, we become even more conscious of their changing needs.

Over the years, I’ve learnt that, just like us, no two dogs are quite the same. What works for one may not necessarily be what the other needs.

Which is why I was particularly interested in ELLAVATE, the latest wellness-boosting range from James & Ella, a brand we’ve come to know and love.

The new range features three specially formulated freeze-dried recipes, each offering targeted nutritional support for a different aspect of canine wellbeing: Vitality, Gut Health and Glow.

And in our household, the choices were rather obvious.

Lulu chose Vitality

Our little Lulu may be small, but she has a big personality. Having survived a life that no dog should ever have to endure, she certainly deserves to enjoy every moment of her new one.

So Lulu’s choice is Vitality.

Made with 42% duck and 30% sweet potato, it provides protein and complex carbohydrates to help support sustained energy. Beetroot and cranberries, naturally rich in antioxidants, are included to support general health and vitality.

The recipe also contains carefully selected botanicals, including boswellia, ginger and turmeric.

After everything Lulu has been through, I want her to have the best possible life, filled with adventures, new discoveries and plenty of happy days.

And a little extra vitality certainly wouldn’t go amiss!

George chose Gut Health

George, on the other hand, has his own particular needs.

He’s had ongoing digestive issues, so looking after his gut health has become an important part of his daily care.

As any dog parent who has dealt with a sensitive tummy knows, finding the right balance can sometimes be a challenge.

For George, Gut Health seemed the natural choice.

This recipe combines parsnip and peas, sources of fibre to help support healthy digestion and regular bowel movements. Papaya and mint have also been included in a blend designed to help maintain a happy tummy.

The freeze-dried recipe provides targeted nutritional support for digestive wellbeing.

Of course, no treat is a magic solution to ongoing digestive problems, but thoughtful nutritional support can be part of looking after George’s individual needs.

And when it comes to George, a happy tummy would make us both very happy indeed!

And as for Glow…

Well, that’s one they can both share!

After all, who doesn’t want a lovely, healthy-looking coat and a little extra glow?

Glow is formulated with Omega-3 fatty acids to help nourish the skin and promote a naturally shiny, healthy coat. It also contains marine collagen, which provides amino acids to support skin hydration and coat condition.

With salmon, carrot, apple and other carefully selected ingredients, it’s designed to support skin and coat health from within.

Whether it’s Lulu’s soft curls or George’s tousled black fur, keeping their coats looking their best is another part of caring for their overall wellbeing.

So Glow gets two paws up. Or should that be eight?

A Little Extra Love in Every Bowl

I’ve always believed that good nutrition is one of the foundations of a dog’s health.

We’ve been feeding raw for many years, and James & Ella’s freeze-dried food has become part of our routine, particularly when we’re travelling.

What I like about the concept behind ELLAVATE is that it recognises something we know all too well as dog parents: our dogs are individuals, with different needs at different stages of their lives.

And rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, these three recipes allow us to choose the nutritional support that best suits them.

For Lulu, it’s Vitality. For George, it’s Gut Health. And for both, a little Glow.

Because taking care of our dogs isn’t just about feeding them. It’s about understanding them, noticing when their needs change and doing what we can to give them the happiest, healthiest lives possible.

And if that comes with a little extra sparkle, so much the better!

ELLAVATE is now stocked across the UK in Pets at Home and also available online.
