The First and the Fifth Candle

IMG_7450

After lunch at Gaucho’s, we went to a street fair before coming home to light the first Advent candle.

As it is still Hanukkah, we also lit the fifth candle on the menorah.

It is lovely all these candles … even though they are lit for different reasons, the flame of the candle seems to signify hope and light from all aspects. And as the day grows shorter with each passing day, it is especially pretty to have these candles around the house.

May’s comment: We’re going multi-faith this year – everything seems to be happening at the same time.  Love all the candles for all reasons.
