A Fishy Love Story

We’ve seen how dogs can love everyone and every animal! But a fish?!?!?!

This is the story of Wiebe, a Dutch Shepherd, who developed a unique friendship with his family’s Koi fish!

Whenever Wiebe went for walks with his owner Dorry, he would  run to the pond to get a drink of water. At the same time, Dorry would feed the fish.

Before long, the fish began to associate Wiebe’s presence with feeding time and would get excited when they saw him.  So every time Wiebe comes close to the pond, the fish would swim towards the surface to greet Wiebe. Looks like positive reinforcement works even for fishes!

In return, Wiebe likes the attention from the fish.   So when he drinks from the pond, he often ends up licking the fish, giving them kisses. xxx

How sweet is that?
