My (human) BFF!

My little man – Sasha is three today!

I met Sasha three years ago on the first day I arrived home.  I was about 3 months and he was about 8 months old.

We looked at each other, each wondering who the other one is – we were about the same size and we were both on all fours but he wasn’t hairy like me and he has fingers.

DSC01772We have so much in common! He chewed my first lead. Since then I’ve learnt to do the same.

When I stand up on my two feet I am taller than he is!I was taller than him last year when I stood on my two hind feet.

We did silly things

I will see him in about a month’s time when he comes to visit. I’m really quite looking forward to seeing him again.  Though we do not spend much time together, we have a special bond because of what we both mean to my Mummy.

May’s comment: The two big LOVES of my life. They entered my life at about the same time. Though born six months apart, I did not meet Sasha till he was eight months old. And at that time Darcy entered my life when he was about 2 1/2 months.

They both taught me to love unconditionally. They both showed me how it is to live in the moment. They have both in their own special way brought me such joy. When I am with the both of them – I have the biggest grin though it was physically challenging trying to push a stroller with a curious puppy tied to it. And even harder when you live in the city and babysitting a sleeping toddler and a puppy that needed to go out to relieve herself.  But all those physical trials are just inconveniences.

So today Sasha turns three.  I feel privileged to have been a part of his special day. Soon he and Darcy will reunite for their third meeting in London. And I am looking forward to it.
