Puppy farming is the mass commercial production of puppies purely for profit and without a thought for the welfare or happiness of the pup, breeding bitch or stud dogs.
Breeding dogs and pups are usually kept in horrific dark conditions, totally unsocialized and riddled with both infectious and inbred often incurable diseases. These poorly pups are then sold en masse to pet shops, online or from free newspaper ads and usually die soon after reaching their new home.
If they do make it they usually require thousands of pounds worth of medical, surgical and/or behavioural treatment to fix them causing even more pain, suffering and heartbreak for both pups and families.
In order to stop puppy farming we must simply stop the demand. By raising awareness through events like PUP AID and promoting rescue dog adoption and responsible breeding practices it has to end eventually. A lot of people will buy a puppy from a breeder as they are looking for a specific type of dog that has been crossbred on purpose. For example, Labradoodles have become very popular recently, one of the reasons being they are good for people with pet allergies as they have the Poodle coat. But there are ways around that. Instead, they could save a rescue dog and get an air purifier to keep control of the dog hair in the air, for example. We need your help – by helping to create awareness of this horrific trade. While many dog owners are aware of this, it is the unknowing public who are looking for puppies who are usually misled or misinformed. Most people don’t know how to find registered breeders or identify puppy farming.

Just so concerned about puppy farming as breeders can fool people with convincing websites and property.
Please rescue and adopt! Puppy Mills are HELL on earth for the animals who are so abused and then discarded like trash when they are no longer able to breed because of decaying health.
