Hey Yogi! How ya doin’?

Yogi was feeling bit sorry for himself.  His three-hour long operation on Thursday went well and the vet is a lot more optimistic than he originally thought. He is now recovering at home. 

They had to put a smaller pin in his leg and plated it.

When he had the other operation they had put in the long pin and it had gone into his knee-joint causing more problems.

When Yogi got home he cried for three hours because he was in so much pain. Poor baby. His new mummy just laid next to him stroked his face and talked to him. He also kept urinating.  He finally settled down around three in the morning.  His mummy must have been so tired.

He has already been back to the vets yesterday for a follow-up.  Yesterday was the second day and he looked a little brighter. It will be four weeks of being caged with only gentle movements around his home.

Yogi, we wish you a speedy recovery – because speedy is the key word here – that’s what you need to be to chase down those squirrels!!!

May’s comment:  Yogi was handed into Hessle Dog Rescue Service after his owners could no longer afford to take care of him after his accident. The Rescue Center has basically stopped taking in other dogs for now as they have to focus their efforts to raise funds for Yogi’s operation and recovery.
