HUŎ! A Dumpling!

The latest dog-friendly restaurant in London – and it is Asian!

During all of lockdown, two of the restaurants on our road was closed – one permanently (Farm Girl) and the other’s future is still unknown, which was once Suksan – our all time favourite Thai restaurant. They were both dog-friendly so we were gutted to have lost an Asian cuisine restaurant that was dog-friendly. They are hard to find.

So as the refurbishment on the previous Farm Girl site slowly took shape. And when they announced that it would be HUŎ, Mum did a little research to learn that their menu encompassed carefully selected dishes from around China and Southeast Asia. All food prepared from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. Wow! Mum immediately contacted them and asked if they would welcome dogs. Their response –

Woohoo!!!

We couldn’t wait till the 17 May when we could dine out again, but they didn’t have a soft open till a week later. Since then, we’ve already been three times!

We loved their decor of driftwood colours and it’s light and soothing design with bleaching timber banquettes.

And modern art work …

With the trend of outdoor dining, pavement dining is available.

And the menu was so perfect for Mum! She doesn’t need to get Deliveroo for favourites like wonton soup, ho fun, curries … their menu is revolving and when we were there, they asked our hoomans what else would they like. Their chef is Malaysian and he would be very familiar with the dishes that Mum loves from her childhood days.

So grateful to have this on our doorstep!

May’s comment: Located on Park Walk, a stretch of SW10 still known to many as ‘Chelsea Beach’, HUŎ bar & restaurant showcases a menu of clean, fresh and healthy Asian food encompassing carefully selected dishes from around China and Southeast Asia, all prepared from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines.

From the bar, Asian-inspired cocktails alongside some of the more unusual and often coveted Japanese whiskies, vodkas and craft beer are to be found with a reduced food menu also available for counter dining.

Driftwood colours highlight HUŎ’s light and soothing design with bleaching timber banquettes providing the perfect setting for more intimate get-togethers and smaller, group gatherings.

In the warmer months pavement dining is available, with the lofty ambience of the main restaurant providing the backdrop.

HUŎ bar & restaurant is at 9 Park Walk, Chelsea, London SW10 0AJ
