I am not sure about this

As the weather starts to change, the rain makes every walk a bit of a chore. First, I do not like walking in the rain. And even when it stops, it means I just get very mucky.

Mummy heard about Equafleece (R) dog suit – and it seems like a lot of cockapoos have them. So she got me one.

I don’t think she likes the way I look in it either but according to her, it sure beats having to wash me every time after a walk. It covers more areas than all my other coats so it makes my furry legs look funny.

She thought it might be a better combination by layering it with my green waxed jacket.  That’s why she chose loden green.

P.S. I haven’t tried walking in it yet – that’s why I posed so well.

May’s comment: Worth giving this a try. It supposedly repels rain water and covers part of her legs and most importantly her underbelly. www.equafleece.co.uk

  1. Dear Miss Darcy,
I think you look very fetching !
I know what you mean about those darn foot glove thingies, I had first refused to walk.
Maybe you will get used to them. Soon you’ll be running with your Buddies and forget
    All about it!
    Have fun,
    Bennie

  2. @rona.cockerpoo tells me that she’d rather like an Equafleece dog suit for Christmas! Four years on, have you grown used to yours? Would you recommend I buy one for my baby, another blonde cockerpoo?

    1. Completely! We’re big fans. Don’t buy slim fit – buy the regular – it’ll be slightly baggy but there will be less rubbing and less matting. It still does the job!

      1. Four years on, and two Equafleeces later, the original (bright red) purchase proved to be a very worthwhile investment! Rona is extremely adventurous when we’re out in the forest, and this last winter it was worth its weight in gold for keeping her torso spotlessly clean whilst her legs got very muddy indeed on nearly every walk.

We bought the second (day glow orange) when Rona outgrew the first. Unfortunately we bought one a little too baggy, such that when it got wet Rona experienced multiple wardrobe malfunctions including several tears from stepping through a shoulder.

So the learning tips from me are 1) be sure to measure your dog carefully before ordering, and b) watch the two videos on the Equafleece website for guidance on how to do it correctly!
