BIG Dogs and Bossy Cats

IMG_9884

We arrived in Banbury and when Mummy’s friend Malgosia drove up to meet us, I was panicking a bit because at the back of the car sat a LARGE Wolf Dog!photo-223Yes, I barked and barked at it. But Mummy’s friend Malgosia got out of the car and introduced me to Antoine. I was a little nervous and actually Antoine was a bit disturbed by my barking.

So we all got back in the car – Antonie sat in the back and I sat on Mummy’s lap timidly.  But Antoine loves the wind as much as I do.  So before long he stood right up and let the wind blow in his face – towering over us. But he was drooling and we were soon showered with his saliva!  But no telling Antoine what not to do.IMG_9865We finally arrived at Malgosia’s new home and I had calmed down, getting to meet Antoine properly.  Antoine is a cross between a wolf and a German Shepherd.
IMG_9868 But just as I was getting used to him, there appeared Rose – a large white German Shepherd!!!

Help Mummy! I’ve been cornered!  I was trying to get to their food and was caught in the act by Rose.IMG_9873 We went out to the garden and Rose kept an eye on my every movementIMG_9876IMG_9905 He was actually protecting his toys!!! Awww, such a baby!IMG_9880Then Mummy said it was time for a group photo. I was a little nervous getting too close.

IMG_9887So Malgosia gave me a hug instead.IMG_9894And then suddenly appeared a cat. She’s called Christie.  She sat surveying what was going on. She’s the boss apparently.IMG_9900Oh, and then there was Louie! He’s only a kitten!  He was more interested in his naps.IMG_9911

So back to those big bears!  Malgosia was showing us around her garden as we followed like Pipe Piper.IMG_9910They’re actually quite sweet.  As we walked around, they played together, rolling and tumbling around. You see, Rose is only two and Antoine is 8 months!!! He is going to be massively big when he’s grown.IMG_9907 Then it was time to go.  Antoine was again summoned to come with us.IMG_9917 But I decided I like Malgosia and wanted to sit on her lap while she drove. I was actually a little confused. I always sit on this side of the car when Mummy drove but Malgosia’s car is a left hand drive.  She didn’t mind as she’s used to her cats sitting on her. But I am just a tad bigger than her cats.IMG_9918IMG_9920 We had lunch at a pub and Antoine and I pretty much behaved till the end when we knew some pieces of bacon await us!IMG_9922Well, I learnt something today. Not all big dogs are bad vicious dogs. I liked Rose and Antoine. It was Christie I was more worried about. She told me off – put me in my place alright.

May’s comment: Meeting up with a friend and checking out the country living life. Think it’s a requirement if another dog materializes!
