How can anyone not like Pancake Day?!?!?!
So Fred and I went in search of some pancakes to celebrate this most delightful day.
Mum found out they are serving pancakes at the Bluebird Cafe!

Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. Shrove Tuesday comes from the word “shrive” – the absolution for sins by doing penance.

Pancake Day came about as a way of using up rich foods before the 40 days of fasting during Lent.

What a brilliant idea! From something so sombre – came this whole day dedicated to pancakes!
May’s comment:
For those not observing Lent just means you have permission to consume more calories on this wonderful day!
