Here we go – Day 1 of 2021!
Let this be a new dawn of the right sort of “positive” …

Remember how last year we were so excited to be rid of negative 2019. Well, we plunged into a lot of “positive” talk in 2020 – but for all the wrong reasons.
But the sun rises again and again … and with each sun rise, there’s hope beyond that horizon.

To being vaccine victorious, to hugs, to new horizons and an altogether better new year.
May’s comment: We were not able to fulfil our tradition of being close to water for the New Year. Water symbolises cleansing. And new horizons await us each new year. We were booked to be in the Lake District to carry on our tradition but alas, Tier 4 meant we stayed in London …
So we self-isolated and went for an early morning walk in Hyde Park instead – and we lingered by the Serpentine … we have to make do with what we have, and make the best of it.

Happy and safe New Year, everyone.
Thank you for journeying with us through an unusual year. Though we never travelled beyond the boundaries, we found so many places we love right on our doorstep. And we found there are so many things one can do to fill our time. There were many moments to reflect on things that are important – and may they remain with us even when all this is over.
Not much will change for the immediate months to come but we pray, and we hope that we can resume a more normal existence with people we love. Missing loved ones, dear friends and we really would like to travel again.
