Tonight I burned a scrapbook of memories.
Not out of anger, not to erase the past —
but to release the weight of it.
Page by page, moments I once held tightly turned into smoke,
rising quietly to the heavens,
where they can exist without weighing me down.
Some memories are meant to be honoured,
not carried forever.
Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting —
it means making space.
And just as I was thinking about Darcy —
sitting at Jane and Christoph’s house, looking out from their room —
the sky answered 🌈

Rainbows are special because they only appear
when light and rain meet.
They’re fleeting, never rushed,
and they show up exactly when they’re meant to.
That rainbow didn’t pull me back into the past.
It reminded me that love remains,
even when the heaviness is released.
So I’m choosing the present.
Space to breathe.
Space to feel light.
Space to live fully, right here, right now.
Remembering you, Darcy —
without the weight.
And it feels like freedom. 🔥🌈✨
The last time we were here together was on 2 January 2022 right after our New Year’s at Sennen Cove.
