Happy Mother’s Day

May’s comment: We’re not of the same “breed” nor specie but I love that furry face more than I ever imagined.

I’ve never had children of my own and lived my life the way I wanted. But when Darcy came into my life, she taught me to think of another before myself, to worry for her, to be concerned for her welfare because her existence depended on me.  She gave me the opportunity to love like a mother – without the headache of school fees and puberty. And she will never grow out of never needing me – sometimes a pain but at most times, a responsibility I am so happy to have.

But how can one not bond with a being so amazingly loving, not to mention adorable, beautiful, gentle, loyal, cuddly, etc, etc. even though sometimes she can be such a diva!

Happy Mothering Sunday to all of you who feel the same. xox
