Mummy and I were planning our next beach trip and really liked the look of the beaches in Northern Ireland – besides the fact that we have never been!
Look at that beach at East Strand Portrush!!! Woohoo!
Both East Strand Portrush and Downhill beaches are dog friendly which is great. But while planning the trip we were told that dogs are not allowed on the train except when carried in a container. WHAT?!?!?!?!
Hello? Are we on Mars? We go on train all over England, Scotland, Wales and then we stop short in Northern Ireland. Why?
So we queried what was going on and then found Dog Lovers NI who told us they have been getting a petition together to help reverse the order. It was not always like that. So for the selfish reason for us being able to travel to Northern Ireland to visit the beaches and also for the lovely people we had met through our investigation, we wanted to help them with their petition to reverse the law.
So please help sign the petition. Dogs on Trains in NI

I have just signed, couldn’t believe it !
I hope enough people do and we can make a difference 😀
Can’t believe NI is not more dog friendly. Get with it. Allow dogs on trains. I was born and brought up in NI.
Exactly! Pass on the message. They already have 1000 signatures – they need more to get the politicians to change the law!
Thought all dogs where a loud on trains as long as well be haves a was told that dogs like trains more then buses
Not in NI – they changed the policy recently. Please help them change it! They would be most grateful.
