This was one of the few places we stopped as a reward for Mum when we were doing our Take the Lead challenge. LOL!
Now, before you start laughing or react in horror, Phat Phuc in Vietnamese, is pronounced as “fet fook” which translates to Happy Buddha (LOL! Whatever!) It is a noodle bar just off Sydney Street, down the steps next to the flower stand.

Mum says it feels like a “kopitiam” – hawker, street food style usually found in south-east Asia.

Mum had laksa, a spicy coconut milk noodle soup of thick wheat noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish – popular in south east Asia.

Further back in the same courtyard from Phat Phuc is Stanley’s

Inspired by the English country garden, to those who know it, Stanley’s is Chelsea’s best kept secret. A hidden oasis of serenity, tucked away just off of Sydney Street.
To avoid the crowds we went for an early dinner.

We sat in the lovely garden area where most diners prefer, but dogs are equally welcomed in the indoor area.

Stanley’s – focuses on British seasonal produce showcasing the best of British ingredients in a relaxed contemporary style. As the crowds grew, Mum said she thought we were in the film set of Made in Chelsea! LOL!151 Sydney Street, Chelsea, London SW3
On the Kings Road walk, we were walking towards Peggy Porschen for another cupcake when Mum decided to stop in at Farm Fetch – a shop that stocks all artisan produce from Italy.

Farm-Fetch takes you from London, to each and every small village in Italy and Spain where they source their products from. Everything in the store has been carefully selected directly from small-scale local producers across different regions.

Look at this parmigiana (parmesan) from Malandrone 1477 – it’s as old as me!!!

One could stop and savour what’s on offer. And we had some Torta di Nocciola of Piedmontese, is a hazelnut cake made of three ingredients – hazelnuts, eggs and sugar.

Made only in Langhe, in the province of Asti in Piedmont, northern Italy

Farm Fetch is all about tradition, quality, passion and love for excellent food – 259 King’s Rd, London SW3 5EL
Well, that was quite a variety of things we’ve tried on our marathon walk! Mum needed to walk that far to work off all the calories.
May’s comment: Check out our new dining directory. We focus mainly in West and Central London, a sprinkle in the north and east.

We have categorised them by cuisine so you no longer need to roll down the longest list of restaurants! Almost (99%) tried and tested by us over the years when seeking out restaurants that welcome us.
We are very pleased that there are more Asian restaurants that now allow dogs.
We separated Afternoon Teas (and other cake, all tings sweet places) from our British listing of gastro pubs, British modern serving seasonal local produce
We had to separate the French (includes restaurants, patisseries and cafe) and Italian (restaurants, pizzerias, gelaterias) from European (other) because there’s a long list of both of them. European include German, Polish, Nordic, etc.
Other cuisines include steakhouses, burger joints, South American, Turkish, cuisines. And there’s also a Healthy option list – which includes Vegan places. We’re not Vegans so there’s only a few in that list.
If you have any suggestions, do let us know. Would love to add to our growing list and another place for us to check it out.
