You’re bloomin’ handsome Orlando!

Hello, Orlando!We finally meet! – a whole year later.

We went to visit him and his owners in East London.He graciously showed us his garden but his hoomans had a better idea.

They suggested we should take a walk in Epping Forrest – so we all got in the carAnd drove to the forest
Wow! There’s a forest that close to the city? I gave chase to Orlando And he ran for his life! 🙂 We wove through the trees and onto side paths There was a lot of space to run But not for George!Mummy was not in the mood to go looking for him in the “FOREST”

At the end of our walk, as we were leaving we came across the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge on the edge of the forestA timber-framed lodge known as “The Great Standing” which was built in 1543 by the order of King Henry VIII but renovated in 1589 for Queen Elizabeth I.

A hunt standing was a raised platform for the huntsmen to better view the medieval hunting forest. From inside the lodge, this was the view of the forest.
A “family” of wood carved deer were outside the grounds of the lodge. I hope they never came so close to they lodge – they would be shot! We weren’t allowed inside the lodge but Mummy had a quick turn inside and found this feasting table – They ate what they killed!

After a long walk, we went home and seems like the hoomans were hungry. They were very busy preparing food Spaghetti cooked by an Italian!BUT – aha! There seems to be something more to our liking Orlando shared some of his scrumptious dinner with us.

After supper, we all sat around the fire for a chat – such a lovely end to a lovely day with friends.

May’s comment: Orlando, a Hungarian Vizla belongs to Indre and Alfonso who live in East London. We went to spend the day with them and to finally meet Orlando. Gorgeous Orlando, and still very puppyish at 13 months.  Compared to Darcy and George, he is massive. When Darcy jumps up at me, she is at most thigh level. When Orlando wants a hug, he is at eye-level!

While Darcy is always aloof, George is also quickly growing up and he is a lot less playful these days. He growled at Orlando a few times. I think he just wanted to show Orlando his newly cleaned bright, white teeth.But they all got on well after the initial territorial barking by Orlando and Darcy responded in fear because he was a big dog.Thank you Indre, Alfonso and Orlando for having us for the day.
