Out of Darkness …

Amazing things happen!

Like so many of use who read the story, Caz wrote from her heart when she said that if she was a breeder, she would give one of her pups to Bethany.

Tamara who recently had a surprising litter of puppies and reading Caz’s “suggestion” made her realise that she should do exactly just that.  So she generously reached out to Bethany to share her surprise.

Lara was the lucky little girl who was chosen to give Bethany and her family a new love.

But the problem was Tamara lives in Cornwall and Bethany’s family live in the midlands! And Caz wasn’t going to let that get in the way of a happy ending! So along came some amazing Samaritans who gave the handover a helping hand.  Caz halped rally through the many who volunteered and managed to get it organised and going. A fund was set up to help with the transportation.

On the 6th June, Lara began her journey …

Tamara drove from Cornwall to meet Rob and Paul at Exeter services for the first handover. That’s Noodles who came along for the ride.
Rob and Paul drove all the way to Romsey and met Lolie that Friday evening.
Lara got to spend the night with Lolie as well as Miss Darci (that’s not me!) And Rex. Boy! She’s brave or maybe she doesn’t know better! I would have been hiding behind a chair or sitting at Mummy’s feet! The next day, Lolie and Lara were off!

They drove all the way to Rugby and on Saturday, 7th June, handed over the precious bundle of joy to the happy family! Thank you Caz for having the thought that catapulted a whole chain of events that made all these humans get up and do something about it. So instead of just sitting in front of the computer and crying about Millie, a cavalry of humans went forth to change things.

Thank you Tamara. You made a lot of humans happy and us poos delighted to know that there are wonderful people like you.

And Lara, as for you – you have no idea how many humans and doodles followed your journey. You came into this world as a surprise to your first owner along with your other 11 brothers and sisters. But you went on a very special journey and your mission – to help heal some very broken hearts. And we know you will make them all so happy. I am sure they will tell you about their Millie and how special she was. Now in your own way, you will be the one who will make their hearts grow even bigger than they were before. 

May’s comment:  Sometimes just a helpful, happy, kind thought can go a long way.  If Caz had not shared her heartfelt wish to make things better, maybe things might not have happened.  Everything all fell into place. Tamara had an unexpected litter and if she didn’t there wouldn’t have been a Lara.

Stories like these are priceless. Being a dog-lover is a special breed. Many donated towards the costs of transporting Lara from point to point. But none of the good Samaritans accepted any of the money donated. All the money are going towards the Doodle Aid Fund to rehome two doodles.
