A Day in the Life of a Dog Mum 🐾🎨
We took our dogs to art class. Because apparently, this is what dog mums do. 😂
At Smith & Whistle’s Dog Day, George, Lulu and their friends became artists for the afternoon, using their little paw prints to create their very own bouquets of flowers. 🌸🐾
And while our budding artists were busy creating their masterpieces, the wonderful Bee Davies was busy illustrating them — because obviously every artist needs a portrait too. ✏️🐶
By the end, there we all were: a group of ridiculously proud dog mums, clutching the paintings our dogs had made as though they had just brought home their first masterpieces from school. 🥹
And yes, George and Lulu’s is now on the fridge.
Turns out, the best flowers are the ones painted with paws. 🌸🐾❤️
Smith & Whistle at Sheraton Grand has been welcoming dogs long before being dog-friendly became quite so fashionable, and we’ve always loved them for it. It was wonderful to be back, and what a brilliant idea to let our dogs become artists for the day.
A lovely day with friends, celebrating the dogs who bring so much fun into our lives.
And like any ridiculously proud mum, George and Lulu’s paw-painted flowers are now displayed in pride of place…on the fridge door!
National Dog Day is on the 26th August.
