Close Call!

lulu

I read a trail of Mummy’s emails as she was going back to find my puppy pictures and realised after reading through the exchange of emails with my breeder that she almost did not get me.  First she was looking for a dog, not a bitch because she wanted a Mr. Darcy!

So she considered both my brothers … in fact she considered a few others but they were American Cockers. She said she was looking for “not hyper … sweet and loving” – and heard that boys are better with cuddles. What was she going on about?!?!?!?!

This is my brother Billy – Mummy thought he was cuter than my other brother Milo, formerly “Socks” because he has four white paws.

Another friend thankfully urged Mummy to choose a bitch – and that was how she “accidentally” reserved me.  Also thanks to Janice, she convinced Mummy – based on her brief, she said if she had to choose one, she would choose me – because she said I was pretty and had the eyes to go with it!  Of course Mummy was referring to eyes that melt – nothing to do with whether we were tested for our eye sight or not. She really didn’t know what she was doing. She was determined to get a pooch and she finally found one breed that does not moult and not so big but not so small!

So she said – ok, she would take me (Lulu). But a few days later she changed her mind and said she rather have Billy.  By then both the boys have gone. And she was stuck with me. OMG! I just realised I was unwanted?!?!?!

May’s comment: No worries, Miss Darcy. For one, I will now always have bitches! And you have not only fulfilled my brief but gave me more than I could ever ask for. You have the most beautiful (tested) eyes and you are super sweet but with great personality! You’re the best thing that happened to me along with Little Tyke! Love you both!
