Last night there were two burglaries in our building and apparently they happened right under our noses! It’s a scary thought thinking that it could have happened to us too! Mummy said that she hoped they had ‘home insurance’ I’m not sure what that is but I really hope they had the best home insurance they could get!
Mummy and I were at home when it all took place – she was on a conference call and I was lying on the bed. Then we went out merrily for a walk. When we came back, we were met by two police officers at whom I growled!
And I was told off by Mummy – she said – wrong person, Miss Darcy!
Well, at least I guarded our home! No one came in because they KNEW I was here!!!
May’s comment: My dear little Miss Darcy! She did not growl or noticed anything different when the burglary was happening. But she growled and barked at the police officers! Oy vey! But the police officers are the nicest people to dogs – second positive encounter. And this particular officer trains guard dogs! So he was besotted by Darcy. Thankfully!
Update: Actually it seems that it happened just before we got home. Or we could have run straight into them and it would have been interesting what would have happened. Darcy would have barked at them and taking one look at them, I would have known something was wrong – then what?
