Last night was the first time that we were sleeping in our bed for over a month. Mummy’s been through her op and recuperating while I had a blast at House of Mutt.
When I came home, the Combemales kindly invited us to stay with them so that Mummy can get used to having me back with her as she still needs a little help. Christopher played with me and made me run. So last night as we got back into our routine, I went to lay down in between the pillows waiting for Mummy to get into bed.
As we lay down to sleep, Mummy told me all the things that have been happening in the cockpaoo world – some catching up.
Mummy said she never thought joining the cockapoo world would make her so emotional sitting in front of the computer. Tears streaming down her face reading postings about Kizzy, Scarlett, Pepper or Maddie. She was so worried about that dog that ran away, about the one who was lost and then learnt that he had been killed. She would feel terribly sad with these cases.
But it isn’t always sad either. There were also tears of joy when humans with big hearts saved poos from others who did not want us any more. And relief when lost poos are found, especially when our tails wagged – to say we’re ok. She is not the only one though – thousands of humans out there who have such big, open hearts.
She told me that when we wrote about praying for Kizzy, cockapoo owners from around the world were so worried about her. People from all over the country, North America and Asia prayed for her even though they have never met – but people cared about a little puppy fighting for her life. So I guess we bring some faith back to humanity. She’s thankful to be able to feel and share all these emotions with all of the lovely people out there.
So that was the world of cockapoos. Unrest and wars in Ukraine and Syria still going on, kidnapped girls in Nigeria, Chelsea lost it’s plot and did not make it to the Champions League finals (thank goodness – no more nail biting matches) and she’s sorry that Liverpool didn’t win the FA cup especially this year. And that George Clooney is now engaged. She bawled!!! Just kidding!
May’s comment: Having Darcy opened my world to a whole new dimension of meeting people I do not know but we share a love – our cockapoos/dogs. I have become friends with them via Facebook or through meet-ups – all so excited for one poo to meet another. And becoming friends through difficult times and good times with our poos.
