At 11.30am this morning, we stood for a moment’s silence when the nation remembered this day ten years ago when the bombs went off in London – killing 52 people.
May’s comment: 52 steel pillars – a permanent memorial to honour the 52 victims of the 7 July 2005 London Bombings is located in the south east corner of Hyde Park.
The memorial comprises of 52 stainless steel pillars – representing each of the victims. They are grouped in four clusters to reflect the four locations of the incidents.

A reminder of the atrocities that left so many wounded physically and emotionally. May we never forget those who died so senselessly and that this may never be repeated again.
