I am usually not allowed inside supermarkets. I get tied up outside of anywhere that sells food. It is a bit scary for me. But Le Pescalou, a French market on the corner of Fulham Road and Limerston Street is very happy for me to be a regular customer. Maybe because they’re French.

Luigi’s Deli down the road – well, they prefer me tied up outside.

At the Chinese supermarket just across the street, they let me inside but I’m not allowed to walk around the store.
May’s comment: It’s always nerve-wrecking to leave Darcy tied up outside a store. I did it at the beginning, not knowing better – going into Waitrose on King’s Road and have no sight of her. Later I was told that there had been dog thefts and never did it again. At Sainsbury’s on Fulham Road, I can tie her up inside the store and she stays in the corner quietly but I still don’t feel comfortable leaving her there. Le Pescalou is a very convenient alternative (and you do pay the price for that!) Darcy’s allowed inside, no hesitation and never been a problem. Love these places. Le Pescalou is on 359-361 Fulham Road, SW10.
